Christophe Galtier doesn’t want Neymar to leave PSG

Neymar’s future at Paris Saint-Germain has been in the spotlight recently following multiple reports of a clash with Kylian Mbappé in the French capital. So new Paris Saint-Germain boss Christophe Galtier has spoken about Neymar’s future at the club following the brawl between the Brazilian and Mbappé.
The Paris Saint-Germain supreme leader said: “Neymar, part of the new project or not? We can’t speak about this in public as some players will arrive, some players will leave the club. These are private negotiations.”

Everyone knows the tense moment between Neymar and Kylian Mbappé in Paris Saint-Germain training. Neymar seemed to ignore Kylian Mbappé completely during the training routine, and others had to intervene to prevent Kylian Mbappé’s embarrassing moment from extending further.

Last month, Kylian Mbappé opted for a three-year extension with Paris Saint-Germain. Reports suggest the striker will have a lot of influence in the club’s sporting decisions as part of the deal. In other words, Kylian Mbappé has a certain decision-making role in Neymar’s “go and stay”.

L’Equipe detailed the situation: “They (Neymar and Mbappé) no longer have much in common and the world champion (Mbappé) does not hesitate, in private, to make fun of his attacking partner. Mbappé would not find anything to complain about in the event of a Neymar exit during the next transfer window, and his managers have been notified of this.”

But to be honest, I don’t think the relationship between the two of them has changed much. Conflicts happen in every team, and Neymar didn’t necessarily notice Mbappé at the time.

What did Galtier say about Neymar’s future?

However, new Paris Saint-Germain boss Christophe Galtier appears to have ruled out Neymar’s move from the club this summer. However, he also has to admit that although he would like to keep Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain, the final decision is not in his hands.

Galtier said: “I’ve always been clear that I want him to stay. There are many games until the start of the World Cup and there will be a need for us to rotate.
“In addition to our starting line-up, I want there to be five players with the same potential who can come in. There will be time for everyone to feature. I know where Neymar can be more comfortable, like Messi.
“They are players with a great ability to find themselves between the lines and be decisive.”
