In an interview with ESPN Argentina, Messi spoke about the transition he went through when he left Barcelona for the French capital last year.
“Children are the ones who have adapted best,” Messi said. “It was the thing that worried us the most, and it was the easiest thing of all… For them, starting school, making new friends, it was very normal, very simple. We have suffered a lot for this.”
After a year of adjusting to a new city and a new league, Messi has figured things out and is in good shape going into the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
▶ Last World Cup
Lionel Messi has revealed the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar will be his last appearance at the global event. He is a veteran of four World Cups – 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018 – and the upcoming World Cup in Qatar will be his fifth.
The World Cup is the only high-profile trophy Leo Messi is missing, so he is hell-bent on guiding his country to the Holy Grail in the upcoming tournament in Qatar.
