The summer transfer window is heading towards its September 1 deadline, and Paris Saint-Germain have been closely monitoring the situation with N’Golo Kante. One thing remains uncertain about the midfielder’s future at Chelsea.
This is the case because N’Golo Kante has less than a year left on his contract and has had a lot of injuries in recent seasons.
Thomas Tuchel is keen for Kante to remain at Stamford Bridge past 2023, but indicated that injury concerns and his age will be considered when deciding the length and size of contract that will be put forward.
He said: “You cannot (disregard the injury record).
“You have to consider everything that is on the table, and on the table is his potential, on the table is his influence, and his quality.
“But on the table of course is his age, his salary and his injury rate, of course. Of course. From there you build a whole picture and try to find a solution.”
